STUDENT LIFE
CLUBS
When you step onto Immaculate Conception's campus, you are greeted with a vibrant community of students who are working together to achieve their goals. At IC, students with diverse backgrounds and experiences come together to pursue their passions.

IC Bengals explore their interests and discover new ones. Connections and friendships are made outside of the classroom, and we encourage our students to join extra-curricular activities to compliment their IC experience. Whether it's art, board games, math, or performance arts, IC offers students a variety of ways to grow.

Our clubs and activities are supported by our faculty, PTO, and community. We welcome parent and community volunteers to enhance our programs.
NJHS

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) was established in 1929 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The society is one of the nation's premier organizations created to recognize outstanding middle level school students. It acknowledges those students who have demonstrated excellence in the four areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
The National Junior Honor Society at Immaculate Conception is made up of 7th and 8th grade students who meet the criteria for exemplifying good scholarship, good citizenship, (conduct grade), good leadership, service, and character.

IC hosts an annual Honors Convocation Ceremony where new NJHS members are inducted and honors students are recognized.
ATHLETICS

At Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools, athletics are open to IC students in good standing as well as all active parishioners at our sponsoring parishes. IC provides a no-cut athletic program that develops our student-athletes through education and competition in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Detroit's CYO program. All athletes are required to have a current sports physical on file.

Research indicates a strong and positive correlation between sports participation and academic achievement. Lessons learned on the playing field are life long; sportsmanship, leadership, respect, honor and discipline. IC Bengals study hard, but they also play hard!
ROBOTICS

IC Schools and the IC PTO sponsor several award-winning robotics teams for Immaculate Conception students in grades K-8. The program stives to help students explore Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math principles and careers. Teams gain valuable experience through competitions in FIRSTLego League.

The mission of the robotics program at Immaculate Conception is to help students build skills in creativity, leadership, and professionalism – connecting them to a future enlightened by their STEM experiences.
We aim to accomplish this by investing students in FIRST Robotics, a holistic program in which teams of students design, build, and compete with their robots.
But it's about more than just robots. It's about sharpening character traits such as gracious professionalism, networking with peers, and problem solving in a project-based learning environment.
