It is the belief of Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools that every child should have the opportunity to attend IC Schools regardless of a family’s financial situation. In that spirit, IC Schools has established programs for tuition assistance. The Tuition-Assistance Committee will review the tuition aid forms submitted by those families who apply. Priority is given to parishioners who are active, participating, and contributing members of our supporting parishes.
The Welcome Scholarship The Welcome Scholarship is for new families whose children were not enrolled in Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools for any period of time during the previous school year. Eligible candidates are incoming Kindergarten through 8th graders who fit the above criteria and do not have a sibling currently enrolled in IC Schools. Scholarships are limited to the first year. Mid-year transfer students are also eligible for a prorated award based on date of entry. The Welcome Scholarship allows new families to take advantage of the Parishioner tuition rate established by IC Schools. Qualified recipients are also eligible to receive additional need-based assistance through the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Parishioner Rate To qualify for parishioner rates, families with K-8 students must be a parishioner in good standing with a minimum $500 donation per calendar year to either Immaculate Conception or St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Archdiocese of Detroit Financial assistance, for qualified families, is also available through the Archdiocese of Detroit. Application information can be found on the Detroit Catholic Schools website, www.detroitcatholicschools.org.
Preschool Discount For a family with two or more students registered at IC, there is a 5% discount for the tuition of the Preschool student only.
Tuition rates and fees for the upcoming school year at Immaculate Conception Catholic Schools are determined each winter. The full cost of educating a child at IC is roughly double the tuition cost; however, Immaculate Conception strives to make a high-quality Catholic education affordable to all families. Through the generous support of our community and our fundraising efforts, IC strives to bridge the gap between the actual cost of an IC education and the tuition rate.
